Kayla began her dance training right here in Hastings, MN at JSOD. She went on to get a BA in dance and communication studies from Gustavus Adolphus College. She went on to be captain of the GAC dance team and in their dance company as well.
After college, Kayla went on to dance professionally with the Minnesota Swarm and Minnesota Vikings. She was a Minnesota Vikings Cherrleader for 6 seasons, team captain for 2 seasons, and was the 2019 Pro Bowl Cheerleader and MVC of the year. Being an MVC combined my love for dance and performing with community service and teaching. On behalf of the MVC she danced in 6 different stadiums and was selected to go on 6 different trips expanding across the US and internationally. Outside of her professional dance career she continued to coach high school dance team and studio dance in MN and the greater NYC area.
Kayla just moved back to MN with her husband , 9 month old daughter, and Bernese mountain dog named Zoey!
Katie began her dance career at Jan’s School of Dance as a competitive dancer. After graduating from HHS, she earned her BA in Business Management with minors in Organizational Leadership and Healthcare Administration from the College of Saint Scholastica. She now works for Allina Health full time. Katie has been a dance instructor and choreographer at JSOD for the past 3 years. She’s excited to return for her second year as an HDTC coach!
Katie currently lives in Woodbury with her husband, Jake, and her golden retriever, River.
